Does anyone have a good reference, web or otherwise, that describes in detail what each command is and does in the trans.txt file, when to use it and when not, etc.? It's almost like this is a top secret function being held for the select few.

There is nothing secret about it, in fact it is explained very well in the manual and at the traing course. It is too much information to explain here, but you can get a manual from key voice or the manual link above. Mark ------------------ Reliable Telephone Service

You should be able to get all you need from Comdial tech support. As Markk said it is complex and too difficult to explain here.
