All stations have the same button programmed with an SDIAL that is the same phone number. That phone number has changed. I want to change that button for all 175 phones without having to do one at a time since this could easily happen again and agian.

I would like to set up a system speed dial like *100 so if the number changes agian, I would only have to change the number once. But the problem is that I do not know how to use button programming to dial system speed dials.

The system is a DXP-plus. The phones are all 8024's or 8324's.

Go to Comdial's web site and click Support then click on User Guides. The manual you want is the FX/DXP Attendant Guide.

I guess I need to clarify my issue. First, I have set station speed dials and system speed dials. Now I want to program a station button to dial a system speed dial like *100. The manuals do not discuss this.

To dial system speed dial 100, one must simply dial *100 while on hook. To program a button, one must select LINE, LINEGROUP, ITCM, or PRIME/LAST and then enter the number. I can put in *100, but this will not dial a system speed dial. This is due to the selection of LINE, LINEGROUP, ITCM, or PRIME/LAST prior to dialing *100. I need the button to dial *100 while still on hook.

It seems to me like everyone would want to do this.

I am programming with VMMI.

Can anyone help me progam a button on a phone so it will dial a system speed dial?

The manuals do not discuss this.

The system is a DXP-plus. The phones are all Impact 8024S's or 8324S's. I am programming with VMMI.

what is the software revision of the DXP-PLUS and the revision of VMMi you are using?

go to help and about to see this info for the vmmi.

The DXP-PLUS will tell you in the lower right hand corner or also in the help and about menu.

If you have access through vmmi then log in go to programming/system/speed dial. Find your speed bin# and change the number and apply your changes.

I do not think you can put a system speed dial on a button. You just hit * and the bin number 100 and up.

Thanks BIGDOG3c. Not the answer I was hoping for, but an answer. Client wants common speed dials along with personals on each phone. Does not want to dial *100. Kind of a headache when the phone number changes for that speed dial. Looks like 150 manual changes for me. Cha-ching.
