Hi,

We lost our DXCPU-68K in a storm, and recently had to purchase new a complete software package to get the system back up and running. I can no longer access the switch w/ VMMI, as I need 17D/build 195 to access this version. My comdial dealer tells me that although I paid three grand for the software upgrade that the new version of VMMI didn't come with it and we don't own it. Is this correct? More importantly, I desparately need this verison of VMMI, can anyone help me?

Welcome to the board. Best if you had made this arrangement with the vendor before you purchased the software. His concern is probably that a non certified tech accessing the programming would void your warranty. You can take the Comdial Certification course for the system then you could get it from Comdial. The VMMI is available to certified techs on the Comdial web site but does not ship with the software, and you only own it when you are certified. Your best chance is to work with your vendor.

I’m in a remote area in rural America supporting a charitable organization with a Comdial DXP system that’s many years old. The nearest vendor is several hours away, and as such they have always made their own move/adds/changes. How might I go about getting a copy of VMMI 17D?
A donation/gift could be made to whoever would assist us in acquiring this. I can’t fly someone in everytime I need changes.
