Has anyone else noticed a low level of static on POTS lines when connected to the FX-II 197? I have just installed two (with VOIP networking boards) and can hear static on every other call. Lines are clear with test set. Calls are not going across network. I have swapped FXCMW-8 board and no change.

Constant low level. Sounds kind of like the DSL hiss but not so loud.

Lines are clear with test set. Have you connected a single line set at the frame and eliminated the station cable from the mix? I'm with MarkK. You might have problems in the building cable. RF coming in on the system at some level.

When I have had this issue it has been a marginal power supply or UPS. If you have an earth ground on the side of the cabinet remove it and see if you hear any difference.

It ended up being 2 bad FXSRV2-II boards with date codes of 07-05 and 08-05.
