I was in the process of setting up my Comdial Debut 4 port analog voice mail when all leds went out and a strong odor came from the unit. I looked inside and there seems to be a transistor on a heat sink beside a transformer on the left side of the unit with cover removed that was very hot. I did check the power supply for the correct voltage and it was right at 24 volts and I also checked the fuse inside the unit and it was not blown. This unit had not been used in a while but seemed to work fine for about 20 minutes. Is there any reasonable repair prices on these units or should I just trash it? Thanks for any advice.

What system are you using it on? Maybe I have something you can use. We are close, I have an office in Ruckersville.
