I have installed 2 dssblf units. One at station 101 using 123 as the dss and 103 with 124 for the other dss. Ok for a couple of weeks. Now lamps that are not used are lighting up at random times, does not seem to be any pattern. Am using A33 and installed about Dec. 15 06. Any thoughts, anyone?

Button query the unused lamps (buttons) and see what they think they are, that should give you a clue. I think it's F # 3 and press the button. Mark

We had one that would intermittently go thru a cycle of different color lights. It turned out that the buzzer button that the receptionist used to buzz people in had its wires going thru the same grommet hole in the desk as the console's line cord. Once we separated the two, I don't think the problem returned.

BB, No other idea. I don't use the DX80 for anything over 8x16 so I have never needed the console. If 5Y&C has something with that inductance, you could crimp a cat 5 wire with rj11 ends to use as a line cord and see if it stops the issue. Mark

Had similar problem with console lights flashing randomly. It was running off the white/orange pair of the CAT5 cable. Grounded the other two pairs and problem solved. On my last install, I ran a separate CAT5 drop for the console just in case.

Thanks everyone, think my next step is to install a new drop for the DSS units. Will let you know what happens. BillBo
