How do you have these lines set to ring in the answering position programing under line programming? Are you ringing them directly to the extensions or through the trans.txt file of the auto attendant VM to auto transfer to the extension. They should be set to ring direct to the ext. or ucd group then follow the re-rout or pre defined call forward program. Mark

The lines are programmed to ring the ext. The pre-defined call fwd on the ext is to voice mail.

If you aren't using caller ID change the CID Ring Time to "0"...

We are using caller ID, the CID Ring Time was set at 3.5. I tried different settings to see how low I could go without losing CID; It's now set at 3.0 and works. I made calls to the line, had the user call from his cell, the phone starts ringing by the 2nd ring & the long pause before the 3rd ring is gone. I didn't get to do the cold start, but doesn't look like I'll have to. Thank you all so very much for pointing me in the right direction.
