When a customer is talking on their dx-80 phones , the other party has a really hard time hearing them. Is there anyway we can adjust the volume for the person on the other side of the line? I thought I saw somethig for this once.

I would first determine that it's not the user, some people speak softly and hold the reciever to their neck instead of their mouth. I test by calling my office and leaving a VM message then listen to it, I have seen (today) a transmitter that was transmitting very weak in an IVX system, client saw a spark (static electric) and then people complained they couldn't hear her. They were right. The voice was out there but way low volume.

That CO Volume is for incoming I think, at least that's how it was explained to me.

Yes, but just a few minutes ago I was transferred to vmail by a another customer with a DX-80 to do some programming in teleparmeters and boy did the volume seem low. I believe I have experienced this with the DX-80 before.

Do ya'll not have access to CCC ?? Go do a search for SAB00090 dated 18 Dec 02. Your answers are on page 2 and 3. There is way too much info being put here publicly for the end users and wannabe techs !!
I have seen lately where everybody is concerned about selling the farm and read everybodies response to the topic, but actually the farm is being given away for free !!!!!

Maybe if the CCC had a forum for certified dealers to communicate we wouldn't have to go public to chat with one another.

From a distance, observe the DX-80 users watch and how he or she speaks into the handset.

Many many years ago, had a user on a Tie system complain people couldn't hear her. She was holding the mouthpiece way below her chin.
