I need to get a copy of PC-DBA for the DX-80
Is there any third party ftp sites or websites that has it for download?

lol, I guess I am not expieranced. My boss literally handed me the DX-80, a manual and said make it work.

I previously have no telco expierance, so I am paddling my way upstream on this one.

If you have a manual, you can do the programming from a telephone. Be careful.

Yes, once you learn the manual and how to follow it, it is easier through the phone. If he just wants to set it up plain vanilla, you'll probably be OK. If he wants to take advantage many of the systems features, well, you might be in over your head. If he is willing to pay for certified assistance, give me a call.

well, I seem to only have volume I of the installation and maintenance manual. Is there any other way to learn how to program database, without having to put out cash for the other manual.

There is only one installation and programming manual for the DX80. It's 81/2 by 11 and about an inch thick. A reputable dealer would have included it with the system either in book form or on a disk.

In relation to manuals, I came across section of the comdial website which might be useful.

https://ebiz.comdial.com/portal/training/dx-80/pubs/default.htm

It lists crucial Manuals for installation, they are all in pdf format.

I guess there is some kind of certification test there too. interesting enough...

Yeah, the installation and maintenence manual is what you will need. I've been doing this DX80 system for about 4 years, and after the certifacation test from comdial, I only had to install about 40 systems before I really knew most of the tricks and how to's, and I'm still learning.
God Bless and Good Luck.
