We have an FXII that has a number of 8324 sets that the displays go out on them. Unplug the set and plug it back in and they go back to work. Not all on the same card. We plan to master clear and reload database Monday afternoon. Any other thoughts?

Have you noticed if the LCDs are hot when they are not working? I've noticed a couple that would go out, and when you grab onto the top of the phone to open it up away from the base (to unplug the line cord), the LCD is hot.

I ran into this same issue a while back. LCD's were toast. Comdial never admitted a problem!!

The thing about these phones is that they have been in place for about 5 years with no problems. There are 6 or so of them that started at the same time. That's why I think it's corrupt software.

Ive had the same problem. Sometimes I have to let the phone cool off before it returns to service .

I know this is an old thread, but since I ran into the "hot LCD" issue again, I figured I'd revive the thread to see if anyone ever found a resolution or cause.

Yes, replace the LCD module wink
It has to do with an I/C chip on the module getting hot. Refurb has the replacement if you are comfortable doing it yourself. Send it to us if not.

Not much to it, right? We had one today where it got hot, and from then on, the LCD just went haywire the whole time the phone was plugged in.
