The dx 80 that my company is using is dropping calls randomly.
The KSU will emit 4 short tones when it does this. I tried looking it up in the trouble shooting section of the manuals, but it didnt point to anything like my problem. Also the DET's screens will blank out when this happens.
Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like a power problem, do you have a battery back up on the system? Mark

Appears you might have a component on the motherboard or main CPU about to give out. Try a cold start and reload database to see if that makes a difference.

Mark If you have a battery back-up, are you certain it is the system beeping and not the battery back-up? This sounds a lot like the beeping of a battery back-up unit when the unit is failing and/or you have power problems going into the back up. Is the system properly grounded? Is anything that draws a lot of power on the same circuit with the system? (air compressor, HVAC unit, etc..)
