All dx80's have caller ID by default, no specific board is required. Did you test the lines with a CID 2500 set? And check your timing for CID active, the system should absorb the first ring and display CID then ring at the phone.
How did you make out at the military base, sorry I was out all day and unable to get your messages. Mark

I just checked here on a system, caller ID is active and timing is all set right out of the box. No additional programming is required. The system is set up to recieve "Type 1" caller ID from the telco (Whatever that is) so you need to verify for certain that it is being sent. After that, it should just work. I've never seen one not work on the DX80 if it works on a standard phone. But anything is possible. Mark

One more thing, to recieve CID, the phone must be programmed to ring on the incoming call. Mark

It is recieving info from Telco. I see it on an analog device outside of the system. Can you change the type? It does not work.

No. you will need to contact the provider to see what type they send, (I'm guessing) I've only ever seen type 1, I guess, because CID has worked with everything I've worked with.
You read the follow up about the extensions have to be programmed to ring right?

Any chance the CID Absorb Time had been modified by anyone? By default it's set to 3.5 seconds. You would be able to tell, because when enabled, the DX80 phone would show the line lit, but the phone wouldn't ring for at least 3.5 seconds. If it were set to zero, the phone and light would go at about the same time.
