We have a customer with FXII and 2 PRIs. They were complaining of dropped calls, both inbound and outbound. We went onsite and pulled a T1 status report. What we saw were a bunch of Warm Start and Sync Found incidents, but not really any alarms (blue, yellow, red, bipolar, etc.)

The warm starts were on both boards. I've seen these on systems before, but don't know what the warm start might be pointing to as being the problem. Does anyone know?

Thanks!

As you know I am not a Comdial Tech . I do know a little about PRI'S . On our systems a PRI will "warm start" meaning the digital link resets if it detects a loss of sync , the sync source changes , the circuit goes into free run . If you have 2 PRI'S can you assign 2 clock sources in your system ? If you can have more than 1 sync source can you view in the error logs if it changed state as being unavailable or a new sync source became the primary ? Hope this helps smile

Have you set the timers on the diagnostics to all ones. If you haven't all you will see is the warm start/sync found errors. Rod

Everytime I have seen this on my systems, it was a carrier issue.

You are losing sync and clocking with CO. Do you have both Pri & Sec strapped on Sync Card? Have you tried another sync card? Check out IMI89-342.02 T1 Service Manual.
