DXP PLUS time floats about 3 minutes per month, HR department wants time to stay accurate within 5 seconds. Is there any way improve the accuracy without manually setting the time?

No there is not. I have often wondered if a script couldn't be written on a PC attached to a serial port that would synch the time with the atomic clock and correct automatically. I have this issue with Nortel PBXs also. When I complained to Nortel they said " tell the customer to buy a watch." You could adjust the clock on the Meridian series PBXs to speed up or slow down but they always still needed tweaking occasionally.

The DXP can control and correct the the time on a PC that is connected via the OAI link. You could write a small program to do the reverse, but it is not very practcal. You might want to look at crystal Y2 on the DXCPU-PLS. There was a time when many of the boards let the factory with a problem with that component. The leads were too long and sometimes touched effecting time.

We've received several complaints about MP5000s losing time as well. Anyone else see this or know of a solution?

Would the voltage to the system affect it at all? I find it strange that a clock could end up running fast (as is the case with a site that we service). I would more-so assume it to be losing time, not gaining.

My FX-II is bad about time as well. One month it will be fast, the next it will be slow.
So I just set up a monthly reminder and I synchronize all our system times to the same time. It's a pain though.

I have seen the FX-II services board cause this. Called comdial, RMA, and all was well. About a year or so later it happens again.
We kept the services in stock for that reason.
Not sure about the MP5000's though, haven't played with them much. Never saw that (or noticed) on the DXP.
