Hi there, I've inhereted a customer whose vendor left them high and dry. Their DX-80 went legs in the air over the weekend, we were able to default and reprogram the system and they asked us to perform a backup. Unfortunately, the Comdial site that allowed us to download the dbadministrator software is no longer available since the "good folks" at Vertical have taken over, and getting any support from them is like...well trying to work with Intertel these days. Can anybody direct me to a source for the PC program for the DX-80 so I won't have to charge this customer for manual database programing if they have a problem again?
Thanks in advance TimP

Very simple if you sign up as a dealer and get product certification. I can go on-line and get any software I need in a few seconds. Don't blame Vertical, Comdial has used a dealer network for years. You just have to jump through the hoops. It's a PIA, but it works to keep some level of expertise in the field. If you need support, contact me by private message or email. Know what SW level you are working with. Mark

Thanks guys. I'll drop you an email Mark before I'm out on site. I'm not sure what rev this system is, but I will find out.
I understand the channel and all, it just routinely frustrates us because we work on so many older systems that require(d) "dealership" to support and so many of the interconnects that were dealers go out of business or drop products and leave the end user without a good support channel.
At any rate, I appreciate the replies and as always thank you!

If you pull the front cover off and look at the CPU card there are two square chips that will have F and the ver#, i.e. F32. That will determine what version you need. You can also program the system via a phone, sometimes this is faster.

I've actually already programed the system (90%) so my goal is to get a backup when it's all finished, although; I still have to set up the UCD groups the way they were. The big bear about getting the version from the chip labels is that the voicemail module has to be removed to see the CPM board. Nevertheless, we're up to the challenge.
Thanks
