The Voice Mail light is blinking. VM 1 has been blinking on one phone for years, and the service tech could not figure it out. Now, I have another phone with the VM 2 light blinking. Any suggestions to turn it off? Thanks!

They set up two lights on the right hand side - labeled Voice Mail 1 and Voice Mail 2. You can enter the voice mail from either one of these, as well as from the display at the top. The display does not say anything different than normal - it has VMAIL and OPTIONS as well as the date and time. I read the links and tried the #1 and #3. The people who installed the system are out of business now.

OK, the lights marked VM 1 and VM 2 are busy visuals to show when the voicemail ports are in use and, as you mentioned, to access the VM system to retrieve messages. When a port is in use the light would be lit steady, and should be lit that way on all phones with an appearence of that port.

First you should use your display to query the buttons you believe are VM 1 and 2 to determine that they are really programmed as you think they are. In your user guide you'll find instructions to programm DSS buttons (direct station selection) that is what these buttons are programmed as to directly access and provide a busy visual for these ports. Once you determine the port numbers for VM (through the query) you can blank the buttons out (itcm **3 and press the button then hang up) then reprogram them for the VM port number. If you need telephone support send me an email and we can schedule some time to help you out and provide you with user guides if you need them.
