1.) Software needed to program it.
2.) Does it use a straight serial cable, or do I need an NM cable?
3.) Where can I get this thing repaired if I need?

Thanks!

Hey, Sarge --what's your unit and where in NY are you stationed? Always willing to help a person in the armed forces.

All you need is a System Supervisor's Guide Book. Do you have one? You can do most VM programming from a phone. What kind of a phone system do you have?

What kinds of things do you need to program?

Some info on the repair for a Debut would come from one of the Comdial Moderators here. Do you have a Comdial dealer that services your equipment? He may do some in-house local repairs--who knows? Is this VM up and running now?? At any rate--Good Luck.
Say, didn't you ask the same kind of questions here, about in November?? Maybe not. If it's the same "Sarge" the answers are still in that thread.

Thanks DAWG....appreciate that. I got the manual. I got the software. I got the laptop hooked up and I am all up in this thing. Problem is, after dikking around with it, trying to get all the bells and whistles to work, the boss comes to me and tells me he wants VM only....no attendant, no nuthin. The gurls will manually transfer an inbound call to a persons mailbox. So the question I have is what's the setup? I have 4 Vodavi extensions dedicated to the Debut, and they are programmed as VM group 690 in the Starplus setup. If I dial into 690 from an extension with a mailbox, it prompts me for the PW and I can retrieve VM. How do I manually transfer a call to a VM? Do I need to use the Starplus call forward option, and fwd unanswered, transferred calls to VM? <whew> thazza mouthfull.

Semper Fi, troops!

You may want to post in Vodavi. This has turned into more of a Vodavi-related question, now, rather than voicemail-related question. You are going to need to change ringing in the phone system, so calls don't get answered by the Debut.
