Hello All! I just changed out a 8x16 compact and replace it with a 16x32. The customer has 8024S Comdial Impact Phone sets. I powered it up and customer is pleased that they are back inservice. The system can up default- having Sta 10 the only station ringing. Also I noticed that when I was in the programming mode, sta 10 did ring incoming. I managed to set the time but I had trouble programming the following:
Programming all phones( sta.10-25 to ring lines 01 to 04
programming for auto line selection pick up
I am a Avaya Guy and don't have a lot of experience with Comdial
The progrmming from sta 10 doesn't seem too bad Thank for your help Lou

With 8024 model phones I know you have a digital system but which one, station 10 tells me it must be DSU, or DSUII. Program 54 is for ringing, a 1 is for direct ring and a 2 is for delayed ringing. Select lines and dial #, then select stations and dial *. Do you have a manual?

Yes, I think it is a DSU. Is there a way you can check thru the programming to make sure? No I do not have an manuel

Is it a black cabinet (DSU) or a gray cabinet (DSU II)? There should also be a sticker on the side with a model #. It should be something like G1632 or J1632. Last, the G series (DSU, black cabinet) have a software cartridge (about the size of a pack of cigarettes) that is stuck into the top of the cabinet.

DSUI. Programs the same as Cmdl_Guy says. You really need a manual if you're going to program it.
