Customer has DX-80 with A33 software. 2 cabinets with 8 port HD VM--and a modem. Extension 143 has had in his LCD display (about 2 weeks now) "Ext 199 Calling". Now I have had this modem set up since installation, and I got in yesterday just fine--. I think with a reset I can get rid of the message in the LCD display---but I'm wondering how in the heck that could have happened. I have the 199 set up with a MB, of course...but I'm looking for any ideas on this before I do a reset. Thanks.

Hi, Check the transfer to field in the mailbox. I have seen where a hacker tries to take over the box and enters a strange number in this field. Could cause the problem. At least it is worth a look

I think the upgrade fixed a problem with 199 lighting a message waiting light on a phone. Wasn't it the 32 to 33 upgrade that fixed it?

I ran into this problem yesterday, I had to backup and default the cabinet per tech support.
That solved my issue.

That is probably the correct thing to do---but all I did was a reset--and it cleared it up. It's been OK now for over a month.

If the hardware will support it (F15 sticker on the various boards), I would suggest upgrading to F42. I thought this problem was fixed in the F39 release. But you would want to use F42, as F39 had some bugs.
Just remember to check the hardware Firmware stickers (not the CPM software firmware). If it's not F15 or better, you can't go beyond A33. I learned that the hard way, but it is also documented.
Oops. I just went back and re-read this thread. I guess I just contradicted my last post, as far as which version corrected the problem. I'll have to go back and look at the release notes when I get a chance.
