Thanks!

I just glanced over some of the documentation. I was looking for a picture of the "dual density" DPM16. I get the impression it's still got a modular connection, and I'm guessing they are now doing 2 ports per connector, to get it to fit? If that's the case, I hope Express is working on a redesign for the DX120.

I don't know why they haven't gone to amp connectors, the mod arrangement can't possibly be less costly. I usually make my own express type cables for the 80. Express is overpriced and I never seem to have enough of them in stock. I get my 7th grade son to make them for 5 bucks each. A little heat shrink, some connectors, he's getting pretty good at it.

We used to do that, before we found Express. They are still much cheaper than the Siemon Hydra cables that Comdial had originally recommended, and we now stock the Express cables, so we always have plenty. Kinda a generic cable, but it does the job, and is a lot faster than having to make a cable each time.

I agree on the amp. You would think they would have done that this second time around. Instead, they just made a bigger opening for our fat fingers to plug in the mods. I guess we should just be thankful they did that!

I'm guessing the "new" cabinet isn't any better ventilated? I've been leaving the lids a little loose and pulled out to the edge of the screws, to allow for better ventilation.

I can't wait to work on a DX120. I like working on new offerings, even if they are close to their predecessor.

Out of curiosity, are the handsets the same as the DX-80 handsets or did they change them?

They changed. They are a charcoal matte finish and different shape.
