I'm servicing a DX-80 in the morning. One user has a pvt. CO line on her set which when called goes directly to her VM. Other calls which are transfered or come through the AA ring NA 3 or 4 times before going to her VM box. How can I get her some time to answer the pvt. line Thanks--Brent

One of the Comdial Mods can help you on this better than I---but in the meantime--here's what I know.
I have what you want programmed on a customer's phone--Like this: Line 751 is set for PVT to Ext 123 in the C.O. section. In the Extension section--Ext 123's Pre-Defined CallForward N/A is set to the VM port (433). This makes an outside ringing call ring at his extension 4 times then go to VM--and also all transferred calls, and all AA calls.
I think that's all I did. But in your situation, it sounds as if someone changed the trans.txt file in the VM to make it ring directly to the VM box instead of the extension. Now, I'm not super-sure on that---you may have to check that out. Good Luck.

What do you have the answering position set to for that line? If it's 433, you need to change it to the extension of the person who "owns" that private line.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm pretty sure that the CO line is pointing to the ext. and not the VM pilot number, but I will check it out. Other ideas welcome. Thanks--Brent
