we have had a debut lite voice mail system with our comdial system for a while. We rarely use the remote program to change a password or reprogram a box. When I logged in today and looked at the system mailboxes, all of the ones we setup appeared. In addition, mailbox 888 appears and it has 10 new messages. I tried to log into the voicemail box like I would one of our other mailboxes, but it will not recongize it and just keeps repeating the request to enter a mailbox number. It is listed in our system as "the operator." None of the routing boxes 800 or 801 point to that mailbox for anything that I can see.

How 1) can I access it, and 2) figure out where in our prompt system it is dumping people to that box by mistake?

Thanks!

Look in the class of service programming for class 0. Bet you'll find day and night operator box is 888.

It's not a routing box. all mailboxes are 2 digit.

I went into class of service as Android suggested and BINGO, 0 through 7 are set so the day and night operator box IS indeed 888. So... what should I change it to? Can I send them to mailbox 10, which is our general reception mailbox? Mailbox 888 currently currently lists under call transfer features that it tranfers to extension 10, our receptionist anyway. Is this helping or hurting anything?

And, how do I access box 888 now that it has 10 meessages in it?

Thanks so much for the info. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. We have no one within an hour us that deals with comdial and the one that is an hour away has been useless.
