I have an FXT with serial integration installed to a DVP (old DOS system). It has been working fine for months now, however, I recently tried to program in a hunt group with 4 members. I programmed the overflow station to a virtual station that is set up to forward to 300(VM Port) so it could go into its associated mailbox. This is where the problem occurs, the ringing works fine, the forwarding works fine, but the digits dialed does not. The message given is 'You haved press an invalid number'. Also if I press intercom and dial the VM Pilot Number (300) I get the same message.

Now then, I figured serial integration had something to do with this so I unplugged the serial port and everything works great, but now I no longer have the features associated with the serial integration. IS THERE A WAY TO HAVE MY SERIAL INTEGRATION PLUGGED IN AND CORRECT THE DIGITS DIALED PROBLEM?

Hi,

You should run the trace with the serial port plgged in and see what you get. You may need to modify the trans.txt file

Hope this helps

I agree with Comdialjim. Activate the trace and watch what sent down the line. This has help me in the past problems of the like.

Update:

I helped him get it going. It was an issue with the B@#xxxx# translation. Once the trans.txt was modified, he said it worked as needed.

He ended up eliminating the virtual extension and just using the "Use Pilot as VM ID" in the hunt group, which was a cleaner way to go for what he was trying to accomplish.
