hi folks.a friend is considering upgrading
from his old merlin to a dx120.i work mostly
with executone&nortel but don't know comdial.
the system looks nice online & the quote he
got seems affordable with a real good warranty.
just looking for any input about this system.

If your a tech, experienced in Nortel & Executone, you won't have any trouble with the DX120.
I've put several in and they are very stable.

Everything Mark K and aweaver said. Many DX-120 components (VM, add-on boards) as well as DX-80 Telephones are completely backwards-compatible with the DX-120 cabinet. And Comdial will take care of the new stuff with a very good warranty.

Except the DX-80 black phones don't have a Hold lamp, otherwise they are direct replacements.
