I have 3 questions;

1) I have a database that was created in revision 195 feature set 17E. I have 195/17D on my PC.

Is there a way to open that database?

If not, I would like to download the proper version of VMMI from CCC, but the files there are so mixed up, does anyone know what the file name is or which page it's on? I downloaded a whole bunch of VMMI files and can't get higher than 17D so far.

2) VMMI seems to work on 1 of three PC's I have tried it on. My desktop, XP machine works. Laptop XP no workie and other desktop WIN98 no workie.

I had to tinker with - and slow down - the modem on the machine that works. Is there a known "tip" or trick to make it work more reliably? Is it an issue with certain types of modems?

3) Once I get the database open, I will want to change an auto attendant to immediate or near-immediate answer during days. The system is FX II 96 with Flash Voice Mail.

Where is this programmed in VMMI?

Thanks, as always. I always get great answers from "you guys".

1) you will have to upgrade your VMMI to open the 17E database.

2) VMMI not working at all? Or just modem portion. Modems are notoriuosly hinky these days particularly with new software.

3)Assign your voice mail ports to ring.

Got it - Thanks! And ... I will look harder for 17E on CCC I guess.

The VMMI modem portion acts up. Connects to the system for a few seconds - then disconnects. I can get in on the other desktop. (I set baud to 9600 and turned OFF compression and Error Control on the modem)

Thanks for taking the time on a Saturday to respond.

Fish will be jumpin' soon enough!
