mpociask welcome to the board. welcome
Please review the rules at the top of the Comdial forum. We use this forum for user related questions, Tech questions are handled in the installer forum. You will not be able to access that forum as of yet so feel free to PM or e-mail anyone on this board for help. You will also need more information since Comdial used the name Impact on more than one system and several phones.
Try to find out if you have a DSU, DSUII, DXP, DXP-plus of FX product.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

The Comdial Impact is just the telephone set, there is more than one possibility as to what telephone cabinet you may have. Adding C.O. lines and modifying COS programming should ideally be done by a Comdial certified tech, but if you have enough telcom tech experience as your profile indicates, you might be able to make it work with the help of some of our mods. Interfacing the lines is usually not a problem...RJ jacks on many systems label what lines interface where. But modifying the COS programming is where headaches can come in. You also don't want to goof up any existing programming. At any rate, let us know what type of telephone cabinet you have...by looking at the sticker, or describe its appearance and color. For example, a large flat grey cabinet with Impact sets would be a DSUII, with model number starting with J.
