I have a customer that is wanting to put a system on a credit card. I think that she wants to get the miles. I checked online at paypal and propay. But I am a little wary. Plus they take like 3.5 percent. Does anyone else use these services? Does anyone else accept CC's? Any suggestions!!

I have taken them for years many people wanted the miles . it puts the money in your account quickly some doctors use them for everything the 3,5 percent s hard to swallow sometimes and the surcharge you if you dont physically have the card also i would get a written auth from customer to use the card for this purchase because a charge back is immediate if they protest the charge

I use PayPal all the time. (But there down today) and I charge the 3.5% back to the customer as a fee. ------------------ ssimpson@oneringtelecom.com Need a Telrad Programmer Kit? Telrad Programmer Kits

If you have no other options PayPal is OK but they have some issues: If your customer has no account with PayPal they can pay you only $500. To open an account takes about 5 days. To transfer money from PayPal to my bank account takes 3-5 days. I have PayPal debit card but it gives me a lot of trouble, like today they are down and I can’t use it at all.
More and more of my customers would like to pay me by credit card so am thinking of buying a cellular POS terminal for about $1500

Correct if I am wrong, but I thought you can process a credit card without a credit card terminal or PayPal. There are some merchant account providers who provide you access to a secure website to process the card. That's all I know, you can find them on google.
I've stayed away from credit cards, the thought of fraud is a problem I don't need. I am thinking about it again, though.

We have taken cerdit cards for years. We eat the 3.5% (a liitle less for us) as it gets the cash in hand quickly. A couple of tips: If you are doing this over the telephone or the internet without a signature, make sure that you are shipping to the billing address of the credit card, otherwise they can deny payment. For larger orders over the telephone, we have a special invoice that prints out a signature area and the "By signing this I agree to pay for this purchase". We fax it out and have them sign it and fax it back. ------------------ Vodavi Telephone Repair Executone Telephone Repair

If you use Quickbooks, you can use the service they provide. It is built into Quickboos and you don't need any extra equipment. Works well.
