hey guMOR EXTENSIONS ys, i never worked on a comdial before, but this week i need to move a comdial dx-80 for a new customer. moving the system and reconnecting the lines and extensions shouldn't be a problem - but the customer wants to add more extensions and paging horns. i found a distributer that will sell me the extension card and phones but i have a few questions.... 1.when adding the ext card will i need to make any program changes to activate the card? (the system is in its original config which i think is 4co x 8ext x 4slt) 2. the distributer told me that there is a paging port but did not know the code used for paging - what code does the extension user dial to do an external page? 3. can someone email me the installation/programming manual or do i need to puchase it from one of the manual websites?

The ext's will come up in default programming or however they were programmed before the board was installed. External page is 777 (user guide).

Good luck on this project; it might be better suited to a certified DX-80 tech but it does sound like you have things under control and are asking the right questions.

Vertical (Comdial) tech support once mentioned to me that if all else fails when installing an expansion module and it won't work...cold boot the system and start from scratch.
Of course, this will erase any current programming back to the defaults.
