I wish it were that simple, the pdf file I found says to load the switches.txt to the the system and select DX-80 Integration, but I do not see a switches.txt file anywhere? I have almost everything working at this point, the only problem I have now is that when a call comes into voicemail after 4 rings, when VM picks up it says "I'm sorry that is an incorrect digit" then it plays my greetings, I am thinking it has something to do with CO_Greeting in the voicemail tables, right now it is set to Null, and I am thinking it may need to be set to #6?? Hopefully someone can help me with it thanks

You have a trans.txt problem. Each line in the DX80 sends a different code to the voice mail when forwarding so you can ID individual lines and route them according to programming. Do you have a DX80 manual and are you familiar with Key Voice trans.txt and tracing?

thanks for the compliment, the salesman has lost money on the deal because it took me longer than the bid. He did bid it low though because it is a new customer with multiple sites. Of course we want all sites, and we got all sites mostly because they can administer the voicemail on their own with a keyboard and monitor. Thanks for all of the tips!

Hi, I work in a small office and we use the comdial internal voicemail, and we don't know much about changing the message being played on the auto attendant. There are names of people to get to their mailboxes, but these people are no longer with us, and we don't know how to access and change the message. If anyone knows how to do so, please let me know. This maybe be a stupid question, but we don't know much about this system, so if anyone can shed some light on this situation for me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you have a Dx80 or 120 with internal mail. Check and see if you have a supervisors guide available. That'll tell you how to change messages and names etc. Don't know how much response you'll get by tagging on to an existing thread instead of starting a new topic....alot of knowledgeable folks don't revisit old threads.

TBlanch, Welcome to the board. Please start a new topic with this post. Hijacking a thread like this undermines the effectivness of the search engine on the site.
It will also be helpful to you to read the Comdial Posting Information thread.
Thanks for understanding, I look forward to helping you in your new post. Mark

I am going to hijack my thread back, I have one little problem with this setup, the DX-80 and the small office lite. When you try to transfer a caller to someones voicemail box, I try transfer, the voicemail key(programmed for dir 433) The phone asks for the voicemail ID in the display, I enter it, then hang up. The person is sent to the directory box, 9998 not the mailbox you enter??? Does anyone have any ideas why this happens? I gave them a work around which I hate to do, but at least they can transfer to vm boxes for now, and another thing is that you cannot transfer a call to a station like 200 if there is no phone there? I am sure that is a system setting that I cannot change but its worth a shot thanks

Sounds like another trans.txt problem. This where the voicemail figures out what the digits from your phone system mean. When the digits are invalid, incomplete, or defined incorrectly in the file, odd behaviors occur. And by the wording of your post I understand that you are transferring to the voicemail directly, not transferring to another extension which gets unanswered (and routed to the mailbox)? The two most critical working components of getting voicemail to work on the DX-80 are trans.txt and the hunt group configured for the voicemail. The in-skin version requires little to no attention to these, unless you want to customize which lines go to what routing boxes, etc.
