I'm an IT Manager at a company that has 3 DXP system at 3 locations.

We recently had a system crash of one of them. Fortunately the first since this DXP was installed over 7 years ago. I do all our own programming anf maintenance

The Crash Kit I purchased came with 17D, we are currently running 15A. The problem ended up being the backp plane, odd, so I did not change out the CPU board to the 17D software. I am curoius if anyone has any release notes for 17D so that I can see if there is a reason to upgrade the system to it. I also understand I will need a newer version of VMMI. I am not a Comdial dealer so I do not know have access to the dealer site (but would like to get access).

Any way, I looking for realese note on 17D soI can see if I want to change to it and for a version of VMMI to work with 17D.

Any help would be appriciated.

I was not aware the DXP went to 17D. The last version was 15C according to my info. Of course, I could be misinformed!

There is 17D software for the DXP and PLUS. I would not take the DXP past 15C. If you are not having any problems with station hunt groups or do not use station hunt groups then 15A is just fine.

I have 17A on three (2-DXP & 1-DXP Plus) systems networked together since 2002 without any problems. I also would be interested to know what the difference is with 17D.

17D had minor bug fixes and was very stable. I just took a couple of DXP PLUSES back in trade running 17D with networking and hardly ever had a service call. I'll see if I can find the release docs for differences.

Since you brought it up, I have somw questions about networking 2 DXP's together. We just bought the building next door but not attached to us. I'll start a new topic if I don't find the info I need searching the forum.
