Need a used TS-44 or something similar. Let me know if you've got one. I've got a new guy starting soon and I'm too cheap (cough) to send him out with a $400 unit.
Thanks, Jason

Buy him a Fluke/Harris TS30. Less than two C-notes and reliable. He doesn't need a speakerphone.

I'll 2nd Ed's suggestion. The TS-30 looks like a good substitution. Otherwise check out the listings on eBay.

Be careful of test sets on ebay, boss ordered 2 and specificly asked seller if they were working specifc about the dial for rotary and TT. reply was "yes have been tested to dial both ways." guess what? NO! he was stuck for $xx.xx ea. same old story buyer beware.

I am happy with the TS30 I got in Vegas. It's better than the old(er) Premier one I had been using...

TS30 it is then. Guess I'm spoiled by my speakerphone. lemmie see.... hang it off a frame so I can use both hands freely.... datasafe... blah blah blah. I've never taken down a PRI with it at least though. That is one big advantage over my old TS19. (too bad it weighs as much as the rest of my belt)
But you're right. Let him buy his own Cadilac.
Thanks for the comments guys.
