I have an old system collecting dust. Not sure exactly what model it is but it's a Merlin Legend (I think). Is it of any value? I'd hate for it to go just go to a landfill.. Even though Avaya retired the Merlin platform back in 2006, there is an aftermarket for Legend & Magix hardware.
Look around eBay for some ideas, but please don't junk the system.

I looked at ebay and there is a surplus of equipment on there and very little bidding on anything.

That's because the market is saturated..with all the businesses folding an all. Not many start up's either. It's pretty much worthless..You'd probably be better off donating it and getting a tax write off.

I just sold (5) MLX-5D phones and an 016MLX board to a customer last week. There IS value left in this hardware; it is reliable and the telephones continue to attract customers in spite of changing tastes.

also in the pic of the processor chassis can some one clue me in on the two modules with the antennas?
are they for some proprietary cordless system phones?
that looks interesting.
