system is: unisyn ts616 using 1022s stations. i have stations set on prime lines so as to keep line one open for incoming. ringing line pref. is on by default but the stations are picking up the prime line and not the ringing line. i am not using idle line pref for any stations. what am i missing? :confused:

update: it seems that the complaint is only for one of the stations #14. gonna watch this station a bit closer. any comments are welcome...

I would default that station port and rebuild it with the correct programming for it if this continues to happen. It should take less than 7 minutes to do this.

If you don't have Direct ringing set up on #14 then Ringing Line Pref will only work on a trans call

For Comdial to give you the ringing line, your telephone set actually has to ring.

#14 and a few others are set to delay ring for line one. ok i see frank's reply...ok, got it. thanks.

Franks reply, , isn't that the same thing I posted an hour before? Yes it is, but your answer is a more accurate answer because you stated "direct ringing" and that is what will work.

sorry russ, didn't mean to give all credit to frank. i did read you reply also. between both of your replys, i learned in order for "ringing line pref" to work, the station must be programmed for "direct ringing" and the phone must actually ring b4 it can pick up the ringing line. so, i want thank all you guys for the time you've given to me. i realize my system is probably obsolete and i appreciate your time very much. ted. :bow:
