I've noticed over the years that both the ksu clock and the v-mail clock on these systems do not keep very good time. I have a few systems out there that the v-mail clock just goes wacky; i.e. not only time is wrong but date is completely wrong to. I recently singled one out to try to fix;(dx-80; f33 w/4 port in-skin vm) My first thought was change the nicad battery on the board. They just called today and said the clock was wrong again. :bang: Any ideas or thoughts appreciated.

Upgrade your system software to 40 minimum. VM needs to be a "B" rev also as I recall.

I agree with J and if you want good modem communication go to 42 and for auto Daylight Saving and good clock co-ordination with VM go to 44 and have rev B VM SW Mark

Yup. No need to suspect the battery unless the date and time always reverts back to the same thing...usually starts at midnight on the date the BIOS on the VM was manufactured. Wacky or inaccurate date and times are completely related to what J and M.K. said.
