I saw in the thread linked below that 17F can pass CID along when you CFOS a call to another extension, but will it pass CID in intercom calls, line group calls, or both? I'm mostly interested in if it can pass CID for intercom calls. We're running 17D and it is just passing the phones own CID (or the main DID if the phone is unplugged). rather than the callers CID. https://www.sundance-communications...?/ubb/get_topic/f/2/t/001622.html#000001

if this is on a PRI, it is actually using two channels to link the calls, more like a 3way than a forwarded call. Part of the reason you are getting the CID from the forwarding station or the main DID.
it's all tip and ring

Ok... From what I understand, 17F will pass CID on a line group call (from external CFOS'd to external). I'm just wondering if it will do something similar for intercom calls.

I don't believe it will. I think it would end up sending the Default number for intercom calls forwarded offsite. Someone who has one to test can correct me if I'm wrong.

I looked at the 17F release notes and it seems that it will do what I expect (sorta). As I read it (and assume), it will send the CID that the station would normally send for a line group call (which works for what we need) when an intercom call is CFOSd.
Just wonder what will happen if the station is unplugged now... (currently it sends our screening DID).
We'll find out Friday!

Please let us know, and also let us know for sure whether CFOS will pass the extension number when called by another extension.
Thanks!

I'm almost bald and need a drink (I hate upgrading software on embedded devices)... Here are the results - BTW, we normally send a per-station CID out to the PSTN...
Phone plugged in and CFOSd: Sends CID of calling phone
Phone unplugged and CFOSd: Sends default CID
Now if only I could get it to do what I want when the phone is unplugged (this is for integration).. Oh well - I guess I could use some spare analog ports.
