Having read a bunch of reviews about this system, I believe that the company who set this system up didn't have the faintest idea of what they were doing. So many people said that comment that if they weren't set up right you wouldn't like them, but if they were, they would be great. I am the office manager and inherited this system and have to deal with it. I have never worked with phones so hard to learn to use with so many quirks and bugs. What I'd like to do is find someone in my area without an attitude to reset the whole system, reprogram all the numbers, but I don't know if that will solve the problems. Is there an executive station set with software available that I could actually work as the admnistrator from? Right now I have the same DX-80, with an extension panel of 63 buttons. The company who is responsible for selling/setup of the phones acts like it is a big secret that only they know, I as the owner of these phones should be able to administrate them locally, there are no templates online for line extensions, no nothing. Now I have to admit, I have always used Merlins, Lucents and Avayas and have been spoiled. But I can learn anything if I have the right tutorial/software, etc. So if someone knows of something for the administrator which will make my life a breeze in setting this system up it would be wonderful. Right now it's $$$ just to change an extension thru our "phone company". Any help/suggestions, etc. will be greatly appreciated.
