i have a client that has a comdial dx-80 and wants to turn on the auto-attendant and use the voicemail box features.

i checked the ksu and he has a dx-80 vm card installed.

presently, they are not using any voicemail features or auto-attendant.

i've never programmed a comdial dx-80 and i'm not sure if i can help this client.

the first thing i would like to know is how do i call the voicemail system (does it has a voicemail hunt group number?).

how do you log into to an individual mailbox?

can i program this system though a display keyset or do i need software and a laptop?

i'm not a big fan of comdial, i used to service and install executech 816's and executech II's, but i stick to nortel and avaya (when possible).

any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

I'm a big fan of Comdial especially the dx80/dx120 and the flash voice mail.
So sayiny that does the customer have any of the manuals ie: supervisors guide?

VM hunt group is 433

To access a MB call 433 (or press VM button) default ext. MB PW is Ext. #

Most of the programming can be done through the supervisor MB with a Supervisor guide which is why Jim asked if you have one. Some stuff you need the "KeyLink Software for. All the phone system integration and phone system can be set up through a keyset much like Nortel & Avaya

I successfully logged into to a user's mailbox (433). They also have a vm button.

I should be able to set-up mailbox greetings for each mailbox.

I checked several extensions and they all have a mailbox assigned.

How do I program call forward no-answer (to mailbox) for each extension?

You will have to go into Administrator programming on any phone with a display. Under the Extension option (first option) it is one of the choices there.
