Have a possible DX-80 customer, but not sure about the programming and parts. They want to add a phone but only have 8 ports available and all are used. Can another card be purchased and installed or do they need a whole other cabinet?

Thanks in advance

Add a card. A single cabinet can grow to 8 x 24 with 4 analog ports. Then you need a second cabinet.

Ahh Thank you. How difficult is it to program station data? Also if the card is added does it automatically recognize it or does it have to be assigned?

The recommended procedure is to do a cold start after any new addition, but yes the system will recognize it upon power up. Programming from a set is not difficult. If you lack the software, just write down the attributes of each phone also, programming can be done from any set!

I think that depends on the software version. Didn't the earlier versions of software limit programming to x101 or the extension designated as the Attendant? I seem to think this was eliminated at F28 or A33, so that would mean it was only this way in F24 and possibly F28.
