DXP+ 16A; Keyvoice Corporate (8.2??)
Trying to change the routing box where a DID will pick up. Currently we have 3 DIDs that go to routing box 830 in the VM. I want the mto go to 808. In the DID table I changed the VMID from 830 to 808 and got the main greeting played from box 800. When I changed it back to 830 I got the old greeting from the 830 routing box. Yes both routing boxes exist.....with different greetings. In both instances the default extension is 161 which is the first VM port. Correct me if I'm wrong but when the number is dialed 161 (VM) should pick up and the DXP should then send 808 (or whatever is in the VMID box) to the VM and that routing box should play???
I should also note that when I changed the VMID to 809, the original 830 greeting played but that is not the greeting that is recorded in box 809.
What am I missing? Is there something in the VM that I need to check besides the obvious point of the actual digits being sent?
Thanks for the help.

Depending on system programming there maybe a trans.xxx entry in the voicemail. This could be .txt,.day,.nit etc.

Thanks RBF.
There is a trans.txt file but it has no special programming in it. It was never modified from the default file created during setup.
I can post this in the voice mail forum but I thought since nothing has changed in the VM that it might be something with the PBX and what digits are being sent.

After further review by doing a trace, I found that the phone system is sending the callers' phone number as well as the routing box where it would like to go. Example, X=callers number
bXXXXXXXXXX#808#
Can I prevent the phone system from sending these digits to the VM? Also I do not know why it is adding the "b" at the front of it either.
If this is not possible then I will post this in the voice mail forum for help with modifying the trans.txt file.
Thanks again.

Problem solved!!!
After disabling the ANI delivery, the problem still existed which eliminated the delivery of the callers' number as being the source of the problem. So there was obviously something that needed to be modified in the VM trans.txt file.
The issue was indeed in the trans.txt file. The file was adding *,* when it translated the digits which was taking me back to the main greeting 800. Once I took out the second *, everything functioned properly.
