I have a customer that has an Unisyn phone system. He needs a voice mail system. Is it worth adding a voice mail system to it? What voice mail is recommended? Does it need any additional ports or equipment?

I would run like the wind on that one my friend, that system is so old it isn't even funny, in other words in my opinion it's not worth it.

We have one customer left that has a Unisyn. Small tax/accounting firm. Every year we usually have one or two service calls in January with qauestions asking if they can put voicemail on the system.
This year was no different. You have to find and purchase an IST board, then a VM and THEN integrate and program the VM & phone system. For most small companies, this procedure is just too much to invest----and you STILL would have a 15 year old phone system for the customer and for you to support.
Solution: Either a new system w/VM or subscription VM from their local carrier. Good Luck.
