I love this forum, I have read it and learned a lot. But now I feel like I am just at a loss here with things, like nothing wants to work right. So thank you all in advance!!! I am working with Keyvoice and FX-II system. We have a prescription refill box. To where when the caller dials in pushes option 3 it goes to Mbox 2000. There is no extension with MBox 2000, it goes directly to the msg and then lets them record their msg. at 8:30am there were no msg's and again @ noon, then at about 2:30pm there were 19 msg's and the times started @ 8:45am according to the VM tag. Is there any reason why all of a sudden the msg's would be waiting this long to show up as new msg's. Also they state that sometimes the new msg's come in as saved msg's and never show up as new. I am ready to just blow up this system. Thanks, Nick

There are several things that can your reported issue. The disk probably needs defragging as the Keyvoice software is pretty resource intensive and will junk a drive up if not maintained. Messaging lite updates are also a low priority. Depending on how you set the message delivery, forwarding, etc. can affect delivery times. You can look at the LOG files to see what happened the previous day if it is a Windows system.
Either way I'd start with a Defrag and run the Message Audit maintenance run.

The clock is right. I have been watching that, because of the fact it loses time every so often. I never replaced the battery way back when we first installed it. The msg's are not forwarded anywhere, different people check that box every couple of hours for new msg's. It has just become an issue in the last few weeks. I will run a defrag on it today. It has never been defragged since it was installed back in I think '02. Of course they never really used the VMAIL either until just the past couple months. I will defrag it and go from there.
Thank You!!!

If this is a Windows-based voicemail, the regularly-scheduled defrag is a MUST. Even on the DOS version, it was sometimes necessary to change the once-a-week maintenance routine to run daily. I setup the DOS machines to run daily, regardless of expected traffic. On the Windows machines, there's absolutely no question; you WILL have trouble if you don't.
