Customer has a DX80 A39 software; 1 single line port hooked to ans. mach. ringing on 3 lines. Said" old mach. not answering, neither is new machine".both old and new AT&T products; old machine REN=0.0 worked fine for 5 years, new machine REN=0.1a & 0.1b.took new machine to our office using a DX80 slt still doesn't ans..
old machine did not have batteries to hold program, installed batteries now seems to work ok.
Any thoughts about new machine not answering, what is with the REN 0.1b is that something new? :shrug: :bang:

It's the ring cadence (Ring Scheme). There was another thread discussing this. Try a search. If you can't find it, try the different Ring Schemes until you find one that works. If I remember right, there's more than one that will work, neither of which are the default. Also, keep in mind that the ring cadence for an intercom call is, in most cases, different from that of an outside call ringing in.

Thanks 5 years since the old machine appears to continue to work(hav'nt heard from cust yet); but will try scheme 9 per marks suggestion, and let ya'll know.
