I've got a customer with a DX80 we installed about 4 years ago.

Recently, a few buttons on their sets just quit working, as though the system weren't recognizing them.

Trying to reprogram them with f#3 just gives you a blank screen before timing out, but other buttons on the same set can be programmed fine. So far I've band-aid'ed them by moving line buttons to other positions.

Rebooting doesn't fix it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Cold start and reprogram. It's a known issue on certain revs.

I'd feared that, but I was hoping for a quick fix.

Thank you.

You might get lucky...back up the database to a laptop and cold start. Then reload the database. It works sometimes.

Doing what RBF says (backup, cold start, reload) has solved alot of problems for our customers.
It works many times.

I'll give it a shot.

Thanks, both.

Thank you, gentlemen.

I've had issues with other systems restoring corrupted programming.

I used the pen and paper backup method to be safe, but it worked like a charm.
