Anyone know the anac number for DSL?
I was hooking up some new lines to a system and the Verizon guy was there. He dialed in and told me that there IS an anac number for dsl, but said "I can't give you that".

It the same as the pots lines. Since DSL rides the pots line you can indentify them the same as the others. The ANAC number varies from area to area in Verizon but its usually a 7 digit number except within the central office and there you can use a 3 digit ANAC number to hear it over an external loudspeaker on the MDF.

No, I know all those numbers.
According to this tech - and what I overheard on her but set - this number gives voice verification of the DSL service on the line.

Calling the automated 611 service, and inputting a number with DSL riding on the line, will come to a prompt warning that the DSL service may be interrupted when the automated system does the remote test. Thay may do the job you're looking for.

You just want confirmation that the line has DSL on it??
