Is there a way to have message wait status from other phones appear on one main phone (reception)? Central message desk does not seem to do this, but allows that phone to turn on and off message wait lights at other phones.

You don't identify what type of VM you are using with your DSU II. If it is a Key Voice, I don't know of any way to do what you want to do. The DSU II does not have any way, that I know of, to program a message waiting lamp on a telephone for each extension you want to monitor. You could auto-forward messages to the receptionist's VM box, but that would move the message, not just show the MW indication.
