I would also LOVE to ask comdial tech support about this, but HAVE BEEN TRYING THEIR TECH SUPPORT NUMBERS FOR A WEEK, AND THEY HAVE ALL BEEN BUSY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HECK?????!!!!!
I have installed a new DX-120 with 4+4port Flash Voicemail. I have auto attendant setup on 3 lines, all going to 433(800). Caller makes one of 9 menu choices to ring to a UCD. This seems to work fine during the day when most calls are being answered, but when they open up in the morning, every morning, all 8 ports on the voicemail are in a loop, playing the greeting... looks like it is getting flooded with calls from the DX-120. Resetting the vmail card doesn't work, you have to turn the system off and back on to get it to reset, then once again, everything is ok until sometime in the night. The error on the vmail is "Line X is not idle, but has been inactive too long. Forced idle." The X could be any of the ports 1-8. I thought that it may be a CO line that was not releasing/disconnecting, but have had the phone company double-check that all lines have supervision turned on.
Any suggestions??? Thanks in advance!

Check to make sure you're not looping back to menu 800 on no key action. I always set it to "say goodbye" on no action.
I had a tech set it to menu 821 on no action which went to 821 that was set to menu 800 on no action. This set the mail up in a permanent loop. If everything is set to hangup or say goodbye then the mail shouldn't loop.

I think we did have it set to go to 821, and 821 was set to hang up.
One problem that I evidently had was that I had the reroute destination in the UCD's on the switch going to one of the extensions that was actually IN the UCD group... didn't realize that this was a no-no.... I instead re-routed back to vmail and made an entry in the trans.txt to send that UCD to the voicemail box of the person in that UCD (instead of the switch transferring it to the extension, then going to vmail).
I was also instructed by Vertical Tech support to replace the 2004 dx80.hex with a newer 2007 version... this may have fixed it as well... whichever thing fixed it, it seems to be working well now... thank goodness!
Thanks for your help!!
