I am having an issue getting an iPrimo phone to connect to a VoIP-L card. All the required ports have been forwarded on the phone system side and I can ping the FX Boards public IP address. the phone starts up and everything passes (Initializes connecting, registering) and then it shows Reconnecting... Fail. The phone tries to connect again but then shows Registering...Fail (already registered). It runs through this process consistently everytime I power cycle the phone. Has anyone ever experienced this issue before or have any thing to try to correct this issue?
Thanks in advance.

Could be many issues. Is this a first time turnup or was it previously working? Is it on the LAN or installed out in the public domain? Right firmware on the board? If it's the only set are there the appropriate licenses?
Definitely need more info.

This is the first time the ip phone was used remotely but it did work on the local network. Now that the phone is trying to connect via the public network I am running into the above issues. I have the proper licensing and firmware.

Good to know it worked on the local network. What routers are you using at the near and far end? DSL or cable modem for the far end?

Not sure if anyone can translate this info but if I telnet into the phone as it tries to connect the first time this is what I see:
comd000100894 Timeout waiting for ARP reply 0 000102396 Timeout waiting for ARP reply 0 000103924 Timeout waiting for ARP reply 0 000104393 CM: clear all states in call control state machine 000104953 IP: socket:13 failed connection status:-257 000104955 IP: IP Not connected 000114444 Timeout waiting for ARP reply 0 000115946 Timeout waiting for ARP reply 0
Then when it tries to connect again I get this:
000225510 Timeout waiting for ARP reply 0 000227012 Timeout waiting for ARP reply 0 000228552 Timeout waiting for ARP reply 0 000228959 ELog: connReg: Failed registration: 0 000228960 CM: clear all states in call control state machine ********
It seems like because the very last step in the connection process "Re-connecting" fails the extension is already seen as registered. This however still does not explain why the Re-connecting step fails. Error codes shown in a telnet session are not document anywhere for these phones as far as what I can tell but it seems like the phone is trying to tell me what is going on.
Thanks again in advance for any help.

Sounds as if the PBX software thinks the Iprimo is already assigned resources. I'd reset the IP board first to see if that will clear the registers and see if you get the same error. It may even take a system reset to clear your situation. There are a dozen different reasons why it may be failing to register.

I think the registration error is a red herring. It looks like the initial error is related to the re-connecting failing as just before that it states "registering...done". I will however try a full system reset and see what happens.

So the phone system has been reset and the same issue is still happening (Re-connect...Fail). I am going to take the phone to the PBX location and try it again on the local network. This is smelling more and more like firewall people have not done something right.
If anyone had the user name and password info for the iprimo and FXVoIP-L card telnet connections I would greatly appreciate a PM. I would like to see if logging into either can provide me with some more info or troubleshooting tools.
Thanks
