Has an answer to this issue been found? I am having the same problem with one of my phones. The phone was previously set up and working fine on site both through a VPN connection and direct connected through the Internet. When I bring the phone home the little bugger will hang at the Re-Connecting stage every time.
Home firewall is a Linksys WRT54G. I have tried the phone with both a dynamic and static ip. It may have not been necessary, but I also forwarded the UDP ports to the phone on the firewall.

I was able to resolve my original issue by using a spare public IP address the customer had directly on the FXVoIP card and connecting it to the internet connection before the firewall. This was the only way I got the IP phones to connect. No amount of port forwarding or even 1 to 1 NAT worked.
