So my question is where would a call go if the "Use Pilot Number as Voice Mail ID" was set to NO? Would it just keep ringing indefintely and never transfer to VM?

Customer says that it used to ring the hunt group and then transfer to one of the station's VM box, which I know for a fact did happen. Now they says the calls are not being transferred and just ringing. Checked the above setting and it was set to NO. I cannot verify that mailbox 860 still (or ever) exists yet because they have Keyvoice DOS and I need to be on-site for that which I will do at some point.

What are the other settings for the hunt group? That change, alone, would not make it RNA. Without that set to YES, all it would do is send other digits, if available, instead of the pilot number.

thanks Justin, I got it. There was no station set for overflow. Once I put in the extension of the VM, it worked as expected.

The hunt group was supposed to ring for 30 seconds and then fall back on x104 which was not the pilot number of the group (860). Once I put the extension of the VM in the overflow, it worked.
