I work at an ISP and next month we are sending our tech support calls to another company and my boss is wanting me to set up our phone system so whenever a customer calls in they can press say option 3 for internet trouble and it will forward their call to this other company. Is this possible and if so how would I do it? Thanks.

It is possible if you have the DX80 voicemail. It will also tie up 2 of your lines during the process. There is a fair amount programming that must be done on the DX80 and the voicemail which is considered installer level and not discussed in the open forum.

Ok thank you. Is something like this not recommended if you only have 3 CO Lines coming in that customers call.

Definitely not supported with that few of lines. Two lines for each call plus there is probably a good amount of volume drop that the callers will experience.

If you get "off premise call transfer" from your dial tone provider, you could do it. When the call is transferred off premise the line they call in on is released when the call is transferred and conferencing is not required.
